Is your country missing?
I want to study with youWHO do I teach?
I teach adults and teens aged 16 and over. My students speak both Slavic and non-Slavic languages, and their levels range from complete beginner (A0) to upper-intermediate (B2).
Some of my students live in the Czech Republic, but thanks to my international network, many of them are based in other countries, including outside Europe.
WHAT do I teach?
I teach Czech as a foreign language from A0 to B2. I put a lot of effort into correct pronunciation and reducing your accent.
Some students come with a clear goal — for example, passing the A2 exam required for permanent residence in the Czech Republic. Others simply enjoy learning the language, speaking actively or diving deeper into grammar.
HOW do I teach?
In my experience, what most students need is simply to speak. That’s why I use a communicative teaching style: we describe pictures, talk about your weekend or discuss your plans. Corrections and explanations come afterwards.
I’m a patient trainer and I use as much Czech as possible, though we can switch to English, Russian or even Italian when needed.
I’ll encourage you to keep notes — on paper or in a document — with everything new you learn. It may sound funny, but my favourite motto is “Fake it till you make it.” Even if you can’t remember a word right now, you’ll know exactly where to find it in your notes.
WHY do I teach?
As a child, I kept telling everyone I would NEVER become a teacher. But things change.
I still don’t really call myself a “teacher” — at least not in the traditional sense. I don’t teach children who have to attend classes. I teach adults who learn because they want to, because they enjoy it and because it matters to them.
I teach because I want to share what I know with people who really need it: people living their everyday lives in a foreign country, surrounded by the unfamiliar, doing their best to adapt and communicate.
FROM WHERE do I teach?
It’s a bit of a lottery! Sometimes I’m in my hometown near the Orlické Mountains, sometimes in Brno, and sometimes abroad — usually somewhere by the sea. So I’m no longer surprised when a student asks where I am today.
WHERE do I teach?
I started my teaching career at TLC Training & Languages in Brno, and a year later I also began working with Learnlight. Alongside that, I teach my own students, with sessions tailored to each person’s needs.
All my sessions take place on Google Meet.
SINCE WHEN do I teach?
I’ve been teaching since 2022. I started with in-person sessions, but soon realised online teaching suits me better, so I moved fully online.
WHEN do I teach?
My timeslots are: 9 – 12, 14 – 17 and 18 – 20 CET
